"one of those books that your little ones will want you to read again and again."
-Reader Review

Virginia can't help herself. She just wants everyone to be happy--especially dogs. Never mind that she's constantly getting into trouble over her well-intentioned actions. Virginia never met a dog she didn't love. But one day she meets a dog who doesn't love her. She's crestfallen until she learns to temper her enthusiasm with a little understanding and good doggie manners.

"...a charming, quietly tender, and very funny take on the melodramatic emotions of small children."
-Kirkus Reviews

Caroline alternates between terror and fury when her parents leave her in the care of her grandmother for the day. To Caroline, "Grandmother" is "Not-Mamma," and she aims the full range of her toddler's emotions at her grandmother as the family cat looks on in horror (and little readers scream with laughter). This book encourages little ones to share their own feelings.
